چکیده

The analyzing power of pp → ppπ 0 reaction has been measured at the beam energy of 390 MeV. The missing mass technique of final protons has been applied to identify the π 0 production event. The dependences of the analyzing power on the pion emission-angle and the relative momentum of the protons have been obtained. The angular dependence could be decomposed by the Legendre polynomial and the relative contribution of the P 21 to P 11 function is less than 20%. The P-state amplitude is found to be the dominant component of the π production near the threshold. The momentum dependence of the analyzing power has been studied to obtain the information about the pion production mechanism. It has been deduced that the pion production due to the long range interaction plays an important role in the momentum dependence of the P-state amplitude.

Analysing powers for the reaction np → pp π − and for np elastic scattering from 270 to 570 MeV

The analysing power of the reaction np → ppπ − for neutron energies between threshold and 570 MeV has been determined using a transversely polarised neutron beam at PSI. The reaction has been studied in a kinematically complete measurement using a time-of-flight spectrometer with large acceptance. Analysing powers have been determined as a function of the c.m. pion angle in different regions of...

The singlet and triplet differential cross sections for pp → ppπ • have been estimated for the first time at 325, 350, 375 and 400 MeV using the results of the recent experimental measurements [Phys. The study of the reaction p p → ppπ • has excited considerable experimental interest [1-4], since the transition is mainly to the final Ss state and is completely spin-dependent at threshold energi...

The reaction np → ppπ − has been studied in a kinematically complete measurement with a large acceptance time-of-flight spectrometer for incident neutron energies between threshold and 570 MeV. The proton-proton invariant mass distributions show a strong enhancement due to the pp(1 S0) final state interaction. A large anisotropy was found in the pion angular distributions in contrast to the rea...
